How To Organize Your Agenda

Whether you’re a student, working professional, or just looking to organize your life, having an agenda book can make a world of a difference. Fun fact; I still have every agenda book from high school and college. They are like mini-scrapbooks, am I right? When I started working professionally I found myself still wanting to use agenda books to organize my chaotic life.

Lilly Pulitzer AgendaYou can spend $3.99 at Target or up to $40 with Kate SpadeLilly Pulitzer, or Vera Bradley. I chose to take the middle road and purchased the medium sized Lilly Pulitzer agenda book with the Coronado Carb print (pink & greeeeen!!) which runs about $20-ish dollars.

Lilly Pulitzer AgendaI keep tabs on important events by using the monthly section of the agenda book. Any important dates, events, bills, etc., are noted here. I use tape to quite literally “tape off” important events. This is mostly of aesthetics but I suppose it does serve a purpose.

Lilly Pulitzer AgendaI’ve fallen into the habit of color coding different aspects of my life. My blog, work, personal, etc. It’s a great way to keep your high-level priorities organized.

Lilly Pulitzer AgendaMy weekly section has more details about the current state of my life. Blog posts, work meetings, deadlines, appointments, etc. My little purple post-it acts as a bookmark so I can easily turn to the current week. Paper clips also work very well for this function.

Lilly Pulitzer Agenda       I did want to point out the awesome laminated tabs. I appreciate the fact that they are more durable that cardstock.

Lilly Pulitzer AgendaI suggest buying some gel pens and color coordinating your life. If Kate Spade can live colorfully, so can you. And there you go! How to you organize your life? Let me know in the comments, I’m curious.

You should try Filofax. A little expensive but completely customizeable and reusable.
