DIY Bridesmaid Proposal Boxes

One of the most exciting parts of planning a wedding is choosing the special people in your life to stand with you as you say, “I do!” For me, those people live in various parts of the world so I wanted to find a special way to ask my best friends who live far away, as well as the ones that are close by. Each bridesmaid/man of mine received a box that I painted to match our wedding scheme, along with a bottle of champagne, flute with their name, some chocolates, and the color swatches. As for color schemes, we’re going with mainly golds, whites, and greens. I’m adding pops of pink with some of the floral but, the pink will likely be more of an accent color.

In regards to the detail cards included with each box, you can find the editable template to Canva here. Feel free to use the format, but I’d suggest updating the copy so it’s in your voice – I left most of my text for inspiration. Also note, we’re going for more of a formal approach with the invites and programs so I wanted the detail cards to have more of a formal feel as well. Definitely edit the font if this style doesn’t fit your wedding theme.

The champagne flutes were from the store You Got Personal on Etsy, highly recommend the seller! I ordered 6 flutes in total and it only took about a week – for Etsy, that’s pretty quick! The rest of the supplies used to create these boxes were from Michaels. My best suggestion is to scroll through Pinterest for ideas and then walk around a craft store to find what fits your vision. I combined a bunch of ideas for something that fit my style and budget (it’s easy to get carried away in a craft store, always make a list before entering Michaels, and use the 40% coupon!)
